Canadian vocalist BASIA BULAT is set to return to CRAWDADDY in April, touring her highly anticipated new album ‘Heart of My Own’.
Following on from her Polaris nominated debut ‘Oh, My Darling’, the acclaimed folk singer releases her sophomore LP over here on the 25th of January on Rough Trade.
Like its predecessor, ‘Heart of My Own’ was laid down with producer Howard Bilerman at Montreal’s famous Hotel2Tango. BULAT hints at a more eclectic record in terms of songwriting and instrumentation this time around.
‘I think it is at times extremely sparse and, well, spacious, with big choirs singing,’ she says, ‘and then it gets really dense with really spirited and rolling drums.’
