Following our Love:Live Music show at the venue last month, State is launching the first of our monthly ‘Versus’ nights by taking on our favourite purveyors of noise the Richter Collective at the Mercantile on Dame Street on Friday 14th. In the Richter corner are Jogging (who launched their rather wonderful album at Whelan’s on Sunday) and young bucks Enemies. Carrying the State flag we have the dynamic duo We Cut Corners, one of our Faces of 2010 and sure to be up there when it comes to the Irish bands of the year round ups. The best thing of all? It’s absolutely free to get in. The live music kicks off at 9pm but we recommend that you get there early.
