Our pick for gig of the weekend is LA-based indie-pop duo Uh Huh Her in the Village this Sunday. Tickets are €22.50.
Musician/actress Leisha Hailey (star of The L Word) teamed up in 2007 with Camila Grey, who has worked with artists like Dr. Dre, Melissa Auf Der Maur and Tricky. They will be playing songs from their forthcoming untitled debut album.
The current release, the 4-track I See Red EP is available now was released on Uh Huh Her’s own label, Plaid. You can listen to the electro-sheen heavy ‘Explode’ right here.

Oh! For some reason I thought it was a PJ Harvey tribute act. How confusing.
Dang. This clashes with the Chequerboard launch in Whelan’s and a possibly elephatine hangover from the Blog Awards.
Blimey! When I saw the name I was expecting a bad PJ Harvey impersonation… but it isn’t. And it’s a mighty fine tune, too!
I shall have to investigate further…
