Is there a poison goin on? First Prince, now M.I.A?? Will we be all living in sewers by next Christmas? Well no, both of these cases of gig cancellation appear to be down to the artists in question.

Last week, Crimes against Music attended a show in McCarren Pool, Brooklyn where M.I.A claimed it would be her last appearance this year, casting the European tour into doubt. So, it has been confirmed today that the Dublin date and the entire European tour has been cancelled. Refunds available from point of purchase. It would have been just OK anyway.

Luckily, the awesome support act, The Cool Kids have rescheduled a midnight show for Crawdaddy for the same date – Friday June 27th. Support comes from the Video Hippos.

Tickets €15 (inc. booking fee) available from Ticketmaster, Road Records, City Discs, Sound Cellar and usual outlets.

This M.I.A. cancelling malarkey is really starting to reek of her not giving a flying one about any of her fans outside of the Brooklyn area. And her not even a crackhead…
