MFI is funded by IMRO, the Arts Council, Culture Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and Live Wire business management. The project involves running a showcase, booking backline, liaising with venues and festivals, creating a promo cd, website and a buzz about the Irish showcase and those performing at it. MFI also awards a grant to those acts participating. The idea behind MFI is to present a united front with acts travelling from Ireland and the key motivation is to provide those acts showcasing with the best possible support and promotion to enable them to make the most of showcases in foreign territories.

Stay tuned to the MFI site for more info on MFI’s showcase at CMJ 2008 and Popkomm 2008.
