Santogold to change name?

Rumours abound that Santogold may be forced to change her stage name from Santogold to Santi. It follows a litigation act filed by Santo Rigatuso who Stereogum describes as a “jack-of-all-trades actor/infomercial guy (selling gold chains) who’s been out there under the name Santo Gold since ‘83″.
Rigatuso also owns santogold.com. While the name change hasn’t been confirmed just yet, it looks inevitable.
not sure why she’d have to change her name as he clearly operates in a different market as it were so unless she was planning on selling gold chains there would be no obvious chance of someone mistaking her for him, etc. i doubt his case (if he took one) would stand up in US courts.
