Voted the best performance of the series by the viewers of ‘Other Voices‘ (see all the clips here), Halves have announced details of a new single, live date and plans for their next album.

The single is a split 7″ with Subplots, featuring the ‘Other Voices’ previewed track ‘Blood Branches‘. They play live at the Ulster Hall on March 9th, as part of the Ulster Hall’s special re-opening ‘Do You Remember The First Time‘ Festival alongside Duke Special, Foy Vance, The Divine Comedy, Therapy?, Ian Archer, Fighting with Wire, LaFaro, Kowalski, The Lowly Knights, Cashier No.9, Jet Plane Landing and Panama Kings.

Following this bout of activity the band will be heading to Montreal to start work on their new album with Efrim Menuck (founding member of both Godpseed you black emperor! & A Silver Mt. Zion) in Godspeed’s own studio ‘Hotel2Tango’.
