Well that had to be one of the most forgettable awards shows we can remember. Duffy won three awards despite having no personality, Kylie, James Corden and Matt Horne didn’t hit their mark as presenters, The Pet Shop Boys performed a medley of uninteresting proportions accompanied by the wooden Brandon Flowers and an anamatronic Lady Gaga, Girls Aloud looked pleased (and locked) with their win for Best Single, Bono did lots of jumping around tugging at his shirt like a spolit child during U2’s performance of ‘Get on Your Boots’, Take That performed from a spaceship (YES! THEY ARE EXTRA-TERRESTRIAL), Iron Maiden won best live band, Kings of Leon took everything else, Kanye continued talking up his ego for winning Best International Male and Elbow deservedly won Best Band much to the chagrin of Radiohead fans leading to one of the only worthwhile moments of the night when Guy Garvey asked a now-sober David Hasselhoff to come “have a drink later”. The Estelle/Ting Tings effort was abysmal – simply one of the most horribly pointless “collaborations” I’ve ever had the displeasure to witness.

Watch as they go from ‘American Boy’ to ‘That’s Not My Name’ and notice how an already poor performance grinds to a shoddy halt.

Crap. Just crap.
