Black Lips for Dublin

By Phil Udell on Thursday, 26 March 20092 Comments | Print this post

Atlanta “flower-punk” garageniks Black Lips have announced a date at Crawdaddy as part of the tour for their fifth album ‘200 Million Thousand’, released March 16th this year on Vice.

The shameless quartet is famed for their recklessly wild live stage shows, which tend to involve mild rioting and occasional nudity to accompany their psychedelic swamp guitar drones and catchy tunes.

Black Lips will be joined on tour by mostly-girl noise/punk band from Los Angeles Mika Miko.

The two bands play Crawdaddy on May 22nd. Tickets €15 available from Ticketmaster, City Discs, Sound Cellar and usual outlets.

Here’s a taste of what to expect….
