Gregory And The Hawk to Play Cork and Dublin

Gregory And The Hawk make their Irish debut in The Infirmary (Mardyke Complex), Cork, on June 21, with a gig Upstairs at Whelan’s on June 22. Support comes from Jean Elliot Senior (Crëvecoeur).

Made up of native New Yorker Meredith Godreau, on guitar and vocals, alongside upright bass-player Mike McGuire, Gregory And The Hawk have become an internet phenomenon, via YouTube, MySpace and good old-fashioned word of mouth. Now signed to Fat Cat Records , they’ve just released the rather wonderful Moenie And Kitchi‘, the follow up to 2007’s In Your Dreams. Their whimsical, melancholic pop is nothing short of gorgeous.

Tickets for the Cork show cost €10 (plus booking fee) from Plugd Records, Cork, and www.tickets.ie. Tickets for the Dublin gig are €12 (plus Booking fee) available from WAV [lo-call 1890 200 078], City Discs, Tickets.ie & Ticketmaster.
