RP,this is hardly your typical Irish begrudgery, considering the writer does not hail originally from Ireland. They are at best mediocre,masked in curtained-fringes and skinny(ha!) jeans.

i just get the feeling that if sweet jane werent irish, their “ridiculous posturing” wouldnt be an issue.

i’m feeling a little of the “sure,tis far from that ye were reared,lads” syndrome here…

how DARE these fellas have an image or, god forbid, partake in something resembling A PERFORMANCE onstage!!!

I went to andrews lane after hearing Po on the radio and the Hot press review for the single have to agree fleet foxes meets midlake.
They blew me away,songs are classics
go see them people when ever you can ,spellbiding

Peter, O Emperor are no more like the Killers than I am Brian Adams. Did you have headphones in while watching them? I thought they were great. More Fleet Foxes than The Killers. You should definitely go back for a second opinion.

I remember the day well when being generic was the be all and end all. “I wish my band was more generic”, people would say after reviewers said, “Band X are amazing. Totally generic, but they must be quick – I foresee a time when being generic won’t do anymore”.
That day is upon us.

hats off for this honesty mr craig. the whole venue was bored to tears by their ridiculous posturing and non-existent riffs. can image really get you this far in a band?

I heard the ’snow patrol-ish’ comment as well about O Emperor so I must have been in ear-shot. I thought there was an image issue with O Emperor because I was waiting for Harvest Moon inspired folk but instead I got Killers inspired indie! I’ll need to go back for a second opinion.
