Another Hockey match at The Academy

After their Academy gig last month, an Oxegen show and a double headliner with Passion Pit at Whelan’s in March, US new wave revivalists Hockey continue their live Irish onslaught with a return to Dublin’s Academy on February 28 next year. The band’s debut album Mind Chaos is out now, and its blend of infectious power-pop and dance-punk workouts really kicks off on the live stage.
Touring keyboard player Ryan Dolliver had to miss the band’s last Academy show after he “spent 2 days in a dublin hospital with an infected finger/arm/whatever” (according to his Twitter page), so hopefully he’ll have more luck this time round.
Tickets go on sale from tomorrow, October 21, for €17.50.
