Atlas Sound play Whelans
Bradford Cox’s solo project Atlas Sound will play Whelans on Novmber 21st. Shifting focus from the indie-rock of Deerhunter, Atlas Sound have a wide range of influences including doo wop, electronica, and Elvis Presley. Cox has just released his finished album, now titled Logos on Kranky records. Animal Collective’s Noah Lennox (aka Panda Bear) and Stereolab’s Laetitia Sadier are featured guests on the album.
Cox will be supported by Hulk who creates “gorgeous atmospherics and melodic sounds”. Incidentally Hulk will be playing at Filmbase in Templebar this very evening (the 29th) as part of DEAF, check it out.
