My boyfriend and I traveled all the way from Ohio, USA just for this show, and it was worth it. There's talk of people having known about the 'musical' side of the show, yet our tickets posted no such thing. Overall, I feel that I would have rather seen Yusuf personally play his own music, yet at the same time, I feel it gives us all a glimpse of his true talents, which are not just just performing, but stage writing/songwriting and producing as well. He sounded great, and I am personally glad, and feel privileged, to have had such an experience!

I agree Nicole, perhaps he should have announced what was to follow the interval more clearly as well. Who know's if it is a success in the West End we can say ... we saw it here first!

I hope that Yusuf felt the love the audience sent his way, despite the musical fiasco. I think fans were just so delighted to see their old troubadour, aka Cat Stevens, back on the road again (after 33 years!) they "overlooked" the byline on the ticket stating that the show would include a preview of his new musical, Moonshadow. We sort of thought, "so what?" However, 30 minutes into it, it dawned on us that we wanted to see the man himself performing his own songs, not actors, no matter how well they sang. A Westend musical was just not what we came to see. That said, I got annoyed when the audience boo'd Yusuf for singing some of his newer compositions. I don't think he should just have to stick to old hits, and I felt the audience should have been more supportive. Let's hope that overall Yusuf's road experience, this time around, will be positive and that audiences will not have to wait 33 years for another tour! Yusuf's voice was strong as ever and overall we really enjoyed the show!

I feel it's great that he will "take the road" after three absent decades. He is a brave man. He certainly is aware that he has become a controversial figure. But, at the end of the day, who cares? I'm glad he doesn't. He's a musician at heart. That doesn't leave you. I am glad that he has come forward to share that part of himself with the world again. He had his own style, and I hope he will stay true to that. Let's give him a chance. I hope he comes to Canada.
