Le Galaxie – Victory
Tonight sees the Le Galaxie boys headline Whelan’s after the match so let’s hope it’s a celebration rather than a damp desolate heart-crushingly ball-numbing result we’d rather forget. Either way, Le Galaxie will be bringing their own ‘Victory’ and joining them from 10.30pm tonight will be The Ambience Affair and Neosupervital so it’s a great show all round. Intergalactic, the weekly dance/indie night happens afterwards too. Admission is €10.
Le Galaxie have recently recorded a new single called ‘Victory’ and were kind enough to allow us to host it right here on State.ie. The song is an ascending cosmic synth and vocoder-led workout that has echoes in its melody of The Frames’ ‘God Bless Mom’ of all things. If you’re not in Dublin tonight, the boys play The Pavilion in Cork tomorrow night.
