Paloma Faith to kick off 2010 tour in Dublin

Expect plenty of theatrics and a sprinkling of burlesque when rising soul pop star Paloma Faith kicks off her 2010 tour in Dublin’s Vicar Street on March 16 – an antidote to the Paddy’s Day pile-up that follows.

After a role in Terry Gillaim’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and recent appearances on Jools Holland and Never Mind the Buzzcocks, it seems the hysterical ‘new Winehouse/Duffy’ prophecies might have some foundation. It’s all about her voice and lush arrangements though, and she’s building a reputation for quirky performance art concerts, where tracks from her debut album Do You Want the Truth Or Something Beautiful? spring to life.

Tickets are €23 and go on sale this Friday, November 6, from Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
