Why they are not particularly famous in Ireland tho they have a strong fanbase in Ireland is due to British Music Industry having way too much influence on what Irish people listen to on radio, tv and music magazines. Overall your review was excellent on the EMA's and thanks for highlighting that Ireland needs its own category something I strongly support.
