Faces of 2010 – Bitches With Wolves

The end of the week and we reach our final Irish band to watch in 2010. Come back next week for our downloadable compilation of the acts that we’ve featured but in the meantime we’ll leave you with these words – “I’ll start a riot once I’ve fixed my lipstick”. Meaningless nonsense perhaps, but in the hands of Bitches With Wolves nearer to a manifesto. Born in London, raised in Dublin, the band have benefited from the resurgence in the capital’s club scene – although they’re as far from your average grim dance night out as possible. Fronted by the flamboyant James O’Neill, the trio underpin their extroverted glamour with a genuine sense of musical adventure, as inspired by the sound of sixties girl group pop as more darker influences. And if that means that O’Neill can strut his stuff in front of thousands of Fatboy Slim in a pair of hot pants, that’s fine by us.

Fucking awful sub-Scissor Sisters crap. Shocking. If these guys are seriously being touted as a a ‘Face of 2010′ then the Irish music scene is in pretty bad shape.

Ireland is that the best you can do..this guy can’t actually sing very well… his vocal range is bad.. and he sounds average at best…

One of the most abysmal jokes I’ve ever had the misfortune of witnessing live. Should have been put down at birth.

I think they are the worst ‘band’ of all time. I had the misfortune of standing at the bar in Twisted Pepper for ten minutes when they were on. I felt like opening fire tbh.

Kenbag: Fair enough, you’re entitled to your opinion but the last part of your comment is retarded.
