Hear David Byrne, Fatboy Slim & Santigold collaboration
More details on the David Byrne/Fatboy Slim concept album Here Lies Love about Imelda Marcos were revealed today by Byrne via his mailing list.
The Santigold-fronted ‘Please Don’t’ was offered as a download and you can hear it below. Byrne says:
I think Santi did a perfect version of this song, which describes, pretty much in her own words, Imelda Marcos’ adventures in what she called “handbag diplomacy.”

Each track on the 2 CD album features a different vocalist including Florence Welch, Róisín Murphy, Martha Wainwright, Steve Earle, Tori Amos, Candie Payne, St. Vincent, Camille, Cyndi Lauper, Sia, Natalie Merchant and Sharon Jones amongst others.
