Leonard Cohen / Westlife travel advice & stage times

Organisers issue travel advice for those attending the three concerts taking place in Lissadell House in Sligo over the forthcoming bank holiday weekend, Friday 30th July – Westlife , Saturday 31st July and Sunday 1st August – Leonard Cohen.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Concert goers are encouraged to take the bus to avoid traffic congestion and delays. There will be services operating from all local hotels and towns in Sligo bringing music fans directly to the grounds and dropping them within a few hundred yards of their concert seat. A special Coach Service will operate from Dublin for each concert, departing from Busáras 2.30pm returning directly after the concert. EU32. Book at www.buseireann.ie , a coach service will operate from Belfast; www.coachestoconcerts.co.uk .

TRAINS: For timetables check www.irishrail.ie. Bus Eireann will have a service leaving Sligo Bus Station which is adjacent to the Train Station at 3pm, 3.30pm & 4pm.

Taxi Drop Off/Pick up is at the Oxfield GAA grounds, close to venue, where there will be a shuttle service in operation to the concert site. There is a charge of EU3 one way/EU5 return for this shuttle and it will take approximately 7 minutes. There is no pedestrian access on this route.

DRIVING
For those driving by car to Lissadell House, check AA’s Route Planner for directions from anywhere in Ireland to Sligo – www.aaireland.ie/routes.

Once in Sligo drivers are advised to take the N15 there will be signposts directing to concert parking.

There are 2 car parks with ample free car parking at the venue. The car park is a 7 minute walk to seating.

Disabilities: Any vehicles with HSE Disability badge in window will be waved into Disability Car Park. Distance to seating is approx. 200 yards.

Patrons are asked to drive carefully

TIMES
Gates are 4.00pm for all three concerts. Patrons are encouraged to come early, avoid traffic and enjoy the fne array of food and beverages on offer.

Friday: Westlife are on stage at 8.30pm, with support first from Wonderland and Glen Call at 7.00pm. Concert finishes at 10.15pm.

Saturday /Sunday: Leonard Cohen will be on stage at 7.30pm. There will be a 25min interval at 8.45pm. Concert finishes at 10.55pm.

Tickets for each concert are still available from €80 including booking fee on sale at Ticketmaster and usual outlets.
