After doing battle with the Richter Collective in extremely noisy fashion last month, June’s State vs… gig sees us lock horns with the daddy of Irish music websites, Thumped. State’s guests are the fabulous Le Galaxie, while Thumped are countering with the equally fine Ambience Affair. Each month will also see an Introducing…. slot for our favourite new bands, kicking off with Feed The Bears (presently to be found on the excellent Popical Island compilation). The date is Friday June 18th, the location The Mecantile, Dame Street in Dublin, the fun kicks off at 10pm and as always, it’s absolutely FREE.
