Ireland in the sun, there’s nowhere quite like it. We’re getting a decent run of this week (jinx) and our mixtape reflects the glare sonically with the summer’s freshest sounds.
It’s a sleepy but sharp start with Ghostpoet featuring Micachu, Aias send some rays from sunny Spain and Magic Kids have a seasonal tune for us. As featured earlier this week, MNDR outlines her plans, Pantha Du Prince gets the Animal Collective treatment, Minks borrow from The Cure, Teams give us an interlude, while Tennis, Invisible Elephant, and Korallreven are all new on the scene. The Black Keys ask for reserved judgement, All Saints Day have some sublime girl-band pop, Japandroids trash it out with jangly guitars, there’s Nigerian psych-funk from The Hykkers and Tropics deliver with ‘Soft Vision’, face-melter of the week.
