Irish-born Helsinki-based producer Dermot Gallagher works under the moniker of PUNKSTATIC.

For the last couple of years he has been creating his own brand “electro-disco-punk” tunes, check them out on his Bandcamp.

Gallagher also makes mini mix ‘n’ mash tapes on a weekly basis and his ethos is admirable:

I aim to condense the top ten songs I’ve been listening to during the week into a nice digestible 10 minute blast – it includes anything, stuff hot off blogs, old classics i might have heard at a party or even an earworm that i cant get out of my head all week.

I just want people to discover new things in a fun way, and if mashing Twin Shadow/Mos Def/Ace of Base/Flying Lotus does that, then coolio.
