Phantom 105.2 to broadcast Fight Like Apes Whelans gig

Fight Like Apes launch their debut album, Fight Like Apes And The Mystery Of The Golden Medallion with a sold-out show at Whelans, Dublin on 26th September and Phantom 105.2 will be broadcasting the gig live from the venue on the night with Jack Hyland’s Heavy Traffic airing live from The Village Venue on Dublin’s Wexford St. from 5pm to 8pm on the day in the lead-up to the gig. The band are expected on-stage at approximately 10pm.
A question. Has all this Fight Like Apes hype gone a bit too far? State are a part of it too obviously but live broadcasts of a band’s debut album launch? Is there a genuine demand for it? With any other band, I would be worried about the weight of expectation on their shoulders but Fight Like Apes seem to have enough going on in the UK to forget about hometown expectations.
