Oxegen day by day breakdowns and further announcements

Today saw the announcement of Amy Winehouse, Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova, The Pogues and The Charlatans for Oxegen as well as a day by day breakdown.

The confirmed artists for each day so far is:

Friday 11th July 08:
Kings of Leon, Interpol, Editors, Aphex Twin, Battles and more.

Saturday 12th July 08:
R.E.M., The Verve, Amy Winehouse, The Prodigy, Stereophonics, Counting Crows, The Zutons, Newton Faulkner, Panic at the Disco, Richard Hawley, Seasick Steve, The Hoosiers, Scouting For Girls, The Charlatans, Pendulum, Justice, Bowling For Soup and more.

Sunday 13th July 08:
Rage Against The Machine, Kaiser Chiefs, The Swell Season Glen Hansard & MarkÃ©ta IrglovÃ¡, The Fratellis, Ian Brown, The Feeling, Kate Nash, Roisin Murphy, Band of Horses, Lightspeed Champion, The Pogues, The Couteeners, Alabama 3 and more.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Friday 7th March) at 8am for the festivals first three day event.

What?!! Aphex Twin, Rage, Alabama 3, Prodigy, Justice, Chemical Brothers, Battles, and all that before the other stages are fully announced! There’s too much Oxegen snobbery, sure it’s full of scumbags, but good music is good music, I’m gonna have fun anyway!

Friday is so empty compared to the other two days.

KOL cannot possibly headline Main Stage! There has to be bigger acts confirmed.

But why should I care? Friday is all about Aphex Twin for me, really…

i dont agree with chris that the kings of leon “cannot possibly headline Main Stage!” they were voted for by the public as the most band they would like to see! they are an immense band and were the stand our band for me last year.

am i also right in saying the friday is only on in the evening from 6, so am guessing it will be on the main stage.
