Instead of his latest Bon Iver single ‘Calgary’, Justin Vernon performed a medley which included the Leon Russell/Donny Hathaway tune ‘A Song For You’ as well as the Bonnie Raitt hit ‘I Can’t Make You Love Me’ with a nuance of her 1989 single ‘Nick of Time’ on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon – just his voice and a grand piano – the high register soul and ’80s balladry being perfectly reflective of his second LP. Stunning.
