There has been some great synth, electro and pop treats coming out of the UK lately, like Florence and The Machine, Friendly Fires, Little Boots, Marina And The Diamonds and now La Roux.

La Roux is 20 year old Brixtonite Elly Jackson’s electronic pop project. Elly’s got mad fly away hair, a penchant for ’80s sounding synths and collaborates with co-writer and producer Ben Langmaid to make songs under the moniker of La Roux.

‘Quicksand’ is her debut single and is released on ultra-hip Parisian label Kitsuné. Expect an album from La Roux in the Spring.
