Comedy songs can be a hard thing to pull off without falling flat on your arse by simply failing to be funny or use musical conventions to your advantage. “New Zealand’s fourth most popular folk-comedy duo’ – Jemaine and Bret aka Flight of the Conchords do a pretty admirable job of it. Sub Pop seem to think so as well, as the label will be releasing a Flight of the Conchords album, produced by Mickey Petralia (Beck – Midnight Vultures, Ladytron – Light & Magic).

The album features fully fleshed-out and professionally recorded versions of Flight of the Conchords concert and television favorites and will be out across the Atlantic from tomorrow (22nd April) so presumably you can get it here too.
