Adrian Crowley is the winner of this year’s Choice Music Prize. A panel of 12 music media professionals chose Crowley’s Season of the Sparks… as 2009′s Irish album of the year ahead of last night’s presentation at Vicar St., which also saw performances from eight of the 10 nominees.
As his reward, Crowley receives €10,000
The first acts confirmed for this year’s Europavox festival have been named. Peter Doherty, Gaëtan Roussel, Arno, Rachid Taha (featuring Mick Jones) and Hocus Pocus will all be making the trip to the French town of Clermont-Ferrand in May.
