Sean Conroy is an almost-nurse turned photographer. In 2007, Sean picked up a camera when working in A&E and has been hooked clicking ever since. Sean has been working with State since June 2009 and this year he completed his thesis on the underground, Irish independent music scene. For over a year, he was a presenter on RTE 2XM's 'Two States', but now he spends most of his time travelling around Ireland, in search of landscape photography opportunities. An almost non-stop 17 song set of ass-shaking indie grooves courtesy Friendly Fires’ first proper headline show in Dublin looked like this for the first few songs. As Ed McFarlane himself said at one point “Why the fuck did we not come here sooner?”…
After doing a pretty decent job of getting the Main Stage going at the first day of Oxegen, Ohio duo The Black Keys brought their bluesy rock show back into town last night to Tripod where they played songs from their latest album Brothers…. A full review is to follow.
